My name is Jim Palmquist, and my 800-acre farm is located in North Central Wisconsin. My wife Helen and I do raise beef cattle and timber on our farm, but our real passion is great Finnish hospitality that goes back nearly 110 years.
At Palmquist Farm, hunting is a longtime family tradition. That’s why we strive to offer a total hunting experience that is enjoyable across the board. The complete experience involves:

The Farm offers 800 private acres of forests and fields with ponds and private trails. If you want more options, The Farm is surrounded by 10,000 public hunting acres.

Helen Palmquist delivers the best hearty farm food prepared to accommodate your hunting schedule and served in a friendly atmosphere. Sharing your hunting tales over dinner is a must.
Handcrafted, comfortable cabins:
All hunters need a place to relax after a full day in the woods. The Farm offers a hot sauna and cozy cabins with wood-burning fireplaces to rest your feet by.
Activities for non-hunting family members who may tag along:
hiking, wagon rides, lawn games, scavenger hunts, farm animals and much more plus local attractions for the whole family. Even if they don't hunt, they'll have an enjoyable time and a memorable vacation at The Farm.
Private Wisconsin hunting at its best
Palmquist Farm strives to make your hunt successful and enjoyable. We will provide you with directions and maps to hunting areas both on and off The Farm, or a licensed guide service is available by request. Gun safety and hunter ethics are very important to us because we want you to experience the best hunt possible.
Teaching your Young Hunter at Palmquist Farm
If you have a son or daughter that you would like to introduce to the sport of hunting, The Farm is an ideal location for a first hunt. We only allow a low number of responsible hunters on our property, and we try to arrange them strategically in the forest so there are no safety concerns. The great meals and cozy cabins we offer are well suited to youngsters, leaving you with no worries about where you are going to eat or rest your head. We will help you with basic guide services, transportation into the hunting area, and removal of the animal from the woods, so all you need to think about is passing on that beloved hunting tradition to your child.
