The White Pine Inn
A breathtaking building, both country-style and elegant, The White Pine Inn is a wonderful example of Finnish log building craftsmanship. Enjoy the natural comfort of being surrounded by pine log architecture and country antiques while you make yourself at home in one of the four suites, each with 2 bedrooms, king size beds, a private bath, living room area, and a private porch with swing. Enjoy the view from your own private porch or relax in the great room in front of a large red-brick, wood-burning fireplace under copper light fixtures from the 1920’s while reading a book or playing cards with family or friends. This cabin allows you to enjoy the country in comfort and style.

The Farmhouse
A stay at The Farmhouse is just like visiting Grandma’s house. Enjoy the sweet smell of homemade chocolate chip cookies or freshly baked bread. Drop in on Helen Palmquist as she prepares each meal and bakes for the guests in the kitchen, and while you’re there, take a look at the old-fashioned wood burning stove, antiques, Finnish wall decorations, and family memorabilia, including portraits of the Palmquist families’ ancestors.  Make yourself at home by the fireplace in our sitting room or cuddle up on the couch to watch a movie in our cozy TV porch with a large bay window. This original farmhouse has been the gathering place on Palmquist Farm for 4 generations, and it continues this tradition by housing the dining room with antique tables and chairs plus wood flooring where all guests gather at meal times. Upstairs are four intimate bedrooms with king size beds full of old books and antique furniture that share one full bath. A cozy sitting room is also located upstairs, stocked with books and magazines. These rooms are perfect for young couples looking for a country adventure.

The Maki House
John Maki, a family friend and Finnish carpenter, is the namesake for this red-roofed log cabin. With four intimate bedrooms (2 king size beds), a second level, and a bath-and-a-half, this cabin sleeps eight to ten people comfortably and is perfect for families or groups of close friends. Put the kids to bed upstairs and enjoy time downstairs in the spacious family room in front of the red-brick, wood-burning fireplace. This cabin also features a beautiful log staircase, wood architecture, and antique decorations. Enjoy relaxing afternoons on the wraparound porch. This cabin is perfect for groups or families that want to enjoy the country while staying in a comfortable, spacious cabin.

The Sauna House
The Sauna House is one of our most desired accommodations because of its private, authentic wood-burning Finnish sauna with shower. Tired muscles after a long day of hiking, biking or cross country skiing will appreciate this special amenity. This cozy cabin also features two comfortable bedrooms (one with a king size bed) filled with antiques and wooden architecture as well as two half-baths. The comfortable sitting area surrounded by windows and heated by a romantic stove is the perfect place to put your feet up after your sauna. This cabin is excellent for a romantic, country getaway or a first or second honeymoon.

The River Cabin
The River Cabin is perched on a beautiful spot above the Somo River. Its three cozy bedrooms (one with a king size bed) and full bath are perfect for a young family or a group of couples looking for a country adventure. This cabin’s wooden architecture and country-style, antique decorations will make you feel right at home. Plan your next day’s excursion, visit with loved ones, or admire the view from the beautiful bay window while reclining on comfortable furniture in front of a red-brick, wood-burning fireplace in the family room. This cabin is excellent for your next family or group gathering.

The Red House
A quaint red cabin nestled beneath eighty-year old pine trees, the Red House is one of the original cabins built when Toinie and Art Palmquist first began taking in guests. Its three cedar-paneled bedrooms (two with king size beds) and full bath are filled with antique decorations that will make you feel comfortable and relaxed. The red-brick, wood-burning fireplace will make you feel warm and sentimental. The kitchen table located near the family room is perfect for family games and good discussion. A small porch also offers a perfect place to sit and enjoy nature.
